Projects

Our projects are basically helping the disabled people and ICP, and also primary education for children and adults in this first phase of the organization.

1. Improvement of the basic services, Somalia * TB inpatients feeding in Las Anod General * MCH program in Buhodle Feeding of 50 TB-inpatients and MCH program had been started in 2005 in Las Anod and Buhodle respectively. Up to now (2008) the two programs are going on. But The MCH in Buhodle needs to develop. Annual report of the projects are being preparing by the voluntary staff. Local NGO Somali Welfare Society is the well experienced partner in Somalia. SWS is responsible the implementation of the project. New plan includes the enlargement of the Sahan International Relief Association (SIRA) projects in the other regions of Somalia.

2. Adult Education Support Project  started in 2007. This project consist of 4 classes in Las Anod and 4 classes in Buhodle. 50% of the students are women, and other 50% are men. Really this project is expanding rapidly, and Sahan International planned to begin in other towns.

3. Town Cleaning and Sanitation With the help of Somali Diaspora Sahan International began to clean main cities of Somalia, specially Las Anod city. Below are the latest pictures of rubbish collecting in Las Anod.

4. Feed the poor project last 3 years Sahan International were organising to collect One Euro Project for feeding the poor. One euro could feed one person at whole day, getting 3 meals a day. It is a good idea to pay one euro an to to feed one poor per a day. Please join us to feed the poor.

5. Needs of Sahan International Anyone reading this summarized report could participate the development of Sahan International activities. The most needed fund-raisings are:

A. Sahan International has to pay 15% of the support allocations received from Finland Foreign Ministry. The coming year 2011 Sahan needs $ 15 000.00 to get $200 000.00 Please donate your support through Bank Account or Xawaala

B. To implement the City Cleaning program, Sahan needs to get at least $ 9000.= dollar per year.

C. Feeding the poor project named Pay One Euro and Feed One poor person. Sahan organised that members and others could pay one euro per day or per month and this euro could feed one poor for whole day.
