Norwegian Delegate visited Finland

on 2nd May 2011(Helsinki) Norwegian delegate visited Finland to meet Finland Foreign Ministry and Finnish Somalia Network. The aim of their visit was to see how the Somali community succeeded to have an unbrella association in Finland. The Somali community in Finland have two main unbrella organizations, and they are Finnish Somali league and Finnish Somali Network. The first league works in improving the Somali community in Finland, and the second network works the Somalia development cooperations and participates the reconstruction of Somalia.


On 3rd May 2011 the Norwegian delegate and the members of Finnish Somalia network met in Sahan International Office. The Norwegian delegate were interesting to listen the ideas which had caused to establish the Finnish Somalia Network. The members had explained the way the network had been established and how the Somalis in Finland like to unite and co-operate. The gave advices which could help that the Somali Community will establish same network in Norway.


 


It had been also discussed how the Somali community in Finland will visit Norway to meet the Norwegian Somali community. It had been mentioned that


Finland Foreign Ministry could pay the costs of such trip.
