Mission

The mission of Sahan International Relief Association ry is to improve the healthcare services and fight against illiteracy in Somalia. Sahan also improves the knowledge of  youths and adults of Somali background living in Finland.

Vision

The vision of Sahan International Relief Association ry is to build on communities’ internal capacities and strengths to create social relief and change, and contribute to the overall welfare and development of communities by caring for the young children.

Core Values

Aid: We are in business to assist needy communities by devoting all our energies and resources to help Somali Society in their struggle for a decent living environment.

Advocacy: Whenever necessary, we will speak for the voiceless communities and call for changes of mind, policy and society.

Empowerment: The ultimate goal of our organization is to help the communities we serve become less dependent and provide them with more resources and options to deal with social problems.

Commitment: We are committed to the cause we believe in and to the communities we serve. We will always demonstrate our commitment by embodying the highest ethical standards, developing a trustful relationship with our partners and promoting accountability at all level and all time.

Pro-activity: Our strength and success will be based upon our ability to be ahead of the game and initiate studies, implement preventive program and focus on research to avoid communities’ breakdown and ensure Somali welfare.
